"Hello" and welcome to an adventure in the lush green hills of central Virginia".

We are approx 1.5 hrs south of the Washington D.C. area. Home of James Madison

cows mind you. ~G~...had to say it!! I am your host...Stretch, and I invite you to

take a pleasant but busy trip across the Blue Ridge Mountains with me. As you leave

SHD "Weyers Cave" my training field, you'll climb to 10,000' and approach the well known

Massanutten Ski Area on the N. hdg. Its the tallest peak you'll see on your way to 8W2. "New

Market", we fly gliders there sometimes. As you turn to your next waypoint, W45 "Luray Caverns",

you'll notice you have cleared the high terrain for the most part. "No crashing now"!! At this

point you should climb another 2,000'. This area is the "famous"....~G~..Skyline drive. The

turning of the leaves each fall brings hundreds of visitors to view the brilliant multitude

of colors this event produces. As you head on to W49 "Culpeper" you will cross the area

where Cheri and I ...."Yes" JUMPED!! from a perfectly good, still flying airplane!! What a rush

from 10,650'. "Cant wait to do it again"....Go Figure??	On to the actually Famous CHO Charlottes-
v
